No threats or violence
Death threats, wishing harm on someone, threats against a person's family, or encouraging self-harm or suicide. This is a zero-tolerance rule — a single violation removes the account permanently.

Community guidelines
Astro Ray is a place to study charts together. These rules keep it that way. They apply to every discussion, comment, profile and message on the platform.
What isn't allowed
No hate speech
Slurs or dehumanising language targeting race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation. Astrology is for everyone.
No harassment or bullying
Don't pile on, follow someone across boards to attack them, mock a member's chart to humiliate them, or contact someone who blocked you through another account.
Keep it civil — no cursing at people
Strong language about ideas is fine. Aiming insults, profanity or contempt at another member is not. Disagree with the interpretation, not the person.
No doxxing or private information
Never post someone's exact address, phone number, workplace, legal name or birth data without their consent. Chart details are shared only through the opt-in comparison setting.
No sexual content involving minors
Ever, in any form. Reported to the relevant authorities and removed permanently.
No spam, scams or paid readings pitches
No affiliate links, repetitive self-promotion, mass DM campaigns or 'DM me for a paid reading' posts on discussion boards.
Astrology is not medical, legal or financial advice
Don't tell someone to stop treatment, leave a doctor, or make a legal or financial decision based on a transit. If a member seems in crisis, report the post so a moderator can reach out.
Cite your sources when you can
Interpretations that reference a book, teacher or tradition rank higher on topic pages. Say when something is your personal experience rather than established doctrine.
The warning system
Warnings stay on your record for 180 days and then expire. Moderators review every report before issuing one.

First warning
A moderator issues a strike and hides the offending content. Nothing else changes — you can still post.

Second warning
A second strike. You'll see a banner explaining what happened and that one more will suspend your account.

Third warning
A 7-day suspension. You can still read Astro Ray, but you cannot post, comment or vote.

Repeat offences
The next escalation is a 30-day suspension. After that, the account is removed permanently.

Severe violations
Threats of violence, hate speech, doxxing campaigns or sexual content involving minors skip the ladder entirely — the account is removed on the first offence.
Reporting and appeals
Use the report action on any discussion, comment or profile. Reports are private — the reported member never sees who filed them. You can also block a member to hide them from your feeds and comparisons. If you believe a warning was issued in error, reply to the notification you received and a moderator will re-review it.
